Katie's Day

Monday, September 26, 2005

The sweet birthday girl was playing in a swing with her grandpa and her nephew when we stepped off the car and reached a shelter picnic, the place where the birthday party was held. She looks more grown up than last time we came over to attend her first birthday a year ago. I was so impressed to find the fact that she develops way better than any other 2 years old baby I've ever met. She knows how to pick and say colors well enough with unclear "r" spell for sure. She is able to talk more than 2 words all at once, such as "get me out of here" (she was stuck in her feeding chair), "eating hotdog" (grandma asked her what she'd like to eat), "one, two, three ..." & "blue, red, orange, yellow" (counting and pointing her balloons). Good job girl! No doubt to say that Tom and Marlene are such great parents for Katie. Anyhow, we enjoyed the party and the food as well.

We took a short time to stop by the farm market, a favorite one, at Winchester VA before heading to our final destination that day for Katie's birthday. We bought some usual goodies like apple juice, cookies, muffin, fruits, peanuts and some other stuff like country ham, apple butter, and salad dressing. Looking nice autumn crafts all over the yard, we shot some pictures to collect for photo album. At the end, "Fun" is a word to conclude my last weekend whose together with other fine days I put into my good memory.
