The Apprentice 3 Review, Episode 15

Friday, May 06, 2005

The Final Three spent all day in grueling interviews, facing each executive and answering tough questions, including: "Which of the other candidates would you choose to be your business partner and why?"; "Tell me about your leadership style. What's it like working for you? Would you enjoy working for you?"; "Who is on your enemy list?"; "Were you flying under the radar?" and "Why should Mr. Trump hire you for this job?"

Trump met with the business leaders to find out what they thought of his candidates. After getting their input, Trump asked the candidates, who were waiting in the lobby as the leaders discussed their fate, to enter the boardroom. Trump told Craig that the leaders felt his answers weren't deep enough and lacked substance. They unanimously felt that Craig should be the one to go. So, Trump wasted no time and said, "Craig, you're fired." Craig left the boardroom and Trump Tower for the final time, wheeling his suitcase behind him. Then, Trump congratulated Tana and Kendra - they were the Final Two! Trump noted that he had started with nine Book Smart and nine Street Smart candidates and now was down to one of each.

For the final task, Trump said Kendra would run the Best Buy Video Game World Championship. She would be in charge of coordinating and hosting the huge video game tournament at Webster Hall featuring the new EA Sports video game Fight Night Round 2. Tana, Trump continued, would run the NYC2012 Athlete Challenge - a VIP sports exhibition at the Chelsea Piers to promote New York City's bid to host the 2012 Summer Olympic Games. Trump said it was simple: the winner of the task would become The Apprentice. (...NBC news)

Tana battles Kendra to be first female Apprentice

It's Tana, the mom and Mary Kay saleswoman from Iowa, vs. Kendra, the young real-estate entrepreneur from Florida, in "The Apprentice" final two.

Obviously the next Apprentice will be a woman just like what I had expected. This season breaks the history of the Apprentice show that the Apprentice to-be is the first female. I don't mind Kendra or Tana, either one, is the winner because they are both good. However, I hope the best woman with best attitude may win.

By the way, I fully agree with the firing of Craig. He clearly did not speak as articulately or answer effectively as Kendra or Tana did in job interview. I could see it, too, from his body language and expressions during his interview. I remember a program, called AMDP (Advance Management Development Program) I took some years ago has taught me how to express a good manner using body language.I think Craig is unable to communicate very well any thoughts he might have had in his head. Unquestionably, the communication skill is a very important material for leadership.
