Review: The Apprentice - Trump, episode 03Each team was to create a high-tech expo at the Cedar Crest Retirement Community. They were instructed to visit the local Best Buy to stock up on gear and then set up their displays with a goal of teaching the residents how to use technology to improve their lives. Surveys would be conducted after the event and the team with the highest score would win the task. (NBC)
I was completely wrong in making a guess that women team, Capital Edge, would have won this task considering a simple task to do, a need of womanly creativity to set up a nice-warm-comfortable display, and a woman gently spoken skill to approach the senior citizens.
Sounds reasonable huh? In fact, they didn't know how to select good foods, neither did how to entertain those old people with modern technology. The room they set up for presentation looked way from cozy. Unbelievable! What happen to these women? Do they lose their woman basic instinct now because of busy work and high prestigious reputation at work? The men team of Excel, on the other hand, divided their expo into three areas: Hobbies and Interests, Photography, and Fun and Entertainment. They also had settled the expo with the theme "Connecting the Generations". Although taken a little word from IBM motto, doesn't it sound so sophisticated? The amazing thing is the team brought in plentiful food and colorful balloons to create some positive energy, and the residents responded favorably. Now my question is which team does have a woman touch? Definitely the men team!
I was not surprised at the end Trump pointed out Jennifer W. with his famous words, "You're fired!" because she was mainly responsible to set up the expo. However, I didn't like Toral, who was disliked by Trump and other judges too, particularly when she was arrogantly defending herself to accuse other women in the team are not smart. What in the world do you think you are smart, you are not even able to demonstrate an HD TV properly. Woman..oh woman!
