First Try Failed

Tuesday, July 12, 2005

In connection with my previous post about getting recipes from food tv, I cooked Teriyaki Salmon for our yesterday's dinner. Well, this time I'm not talking about the recipe itself but more to the kitchenware I utilize to prepare the dishes. According to the recipe, the salmon has to get grilled soon after marinated for 1 hour. The good thing is we have a new indoor grilling machine that I had dreamed to have long ago. I was extremely happy when my hubby allowed me to buy this machine and picked one together at the store. He was happy, too, to let himself not get grumpy again every time I need him to burn the charcoal for outdoor grilling that we use to do in summer time.

As I mentioned earlier about the good thing, there must be a bad thing to balancing with. Yeah, the bad thing is I cooked the salmon too long that made the fish bit burned. Uuugh, it's supposed not my fault because I did it exactly as what the machine instructions say. Now I know I have to reduce 2 minutes from the suggested cooking chart once I need it for my next cooking. Anyhow, the morale of my new experience is "following your *chef* sense too!"
