Around the Corner of My Garden (Part I)
Monday, August 15, 2005
Behind the nice things I talk about my garden, there is a slice of miserable story happens to some of my plants. Yeah it's unfair just to picture how pretty the flower is or how good the vegetables grow up. In fact, they have to struggle against the bugs, worm, slugs, japanese beetles and any other insects to keep alive and to look nice for the gardener, like me for instance.
As you see in this picture, butterfly seems perfect to fulfill the beauty of garden settings. It's hard to believe when the butterflies lay eggs on the leaves, they turn to be the mother of a little invisible monster-to-be. Why do I call them a little invisible monster? Because moths, the next transformation after eggs, love to eat any green leaf of vegetables. They are hardly to see by eyes otherwise you take a look way closer.
Hereby, I share pictures of some wicked creatures found in our garden and their victims as well to show that taking care of garden is not as easy as you just water them. I've been thinking to quit planting vegetables next year because of failed crop this year and only to have flowers in my garden. However, hubby encourages me not to give up yet and keep looking the right chemical or the easiest way to attack those little monsters. Hope to find my best.
