Should You Be Angry?

Friday, September 02, 2005

Less than a year the world has been shocked from Tsunami that hit the south east of Asia extremely destructive, now the world has to see another catastrophic disaster happened in the southern United States, primarily New Orleans, LA. and some low-lying portions of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. Seems the Mother Nature took in action again to demonstrate how tremendously powerful itself to turn the nature from the charming Beauty to the horrible Beast.

Last Monday a monster Hurricane Katrina slammed into the Gulf Coast just about nearby New Orleans and put the city into the devastation. As I read in headline news, Hurricane Katrina is the ever-biggest-storm in USA probably for this 20 years. Although it's said the storm is just a small scale of Tsunami, they both bring the same impact either to the victims or to the whole people in the country. It breaks my heart to see the terrible side of the tragedy from the chaos of the affected areas, the water floods rising in many areas, the dead people after being trapped in their homes, and to the victims fighting for food and fresh water.

Only I could say some of them behave real bad, wild, violent, and uncontrollable. I have no clue what's going on down there and why they have to react like evil. Some people in Convention Center yell and shout angrily at the tv monitor saying "we want help", Sniper fire stops medical workers to evacuate patients at Charity Hospital, fights and fires break out and so on, all the reaction demonstrates how desperate and distressed the victims are. Seems they try to blame the federal government for too-little and too-late response, and they won't accept the fact that the catastrophe happened by nature, not by people or government. Be strong & Be patient guys! the government is working hard now for relief efforts of your own interest . Soon you will get enough help I hope! Though you get nothing from me, pray for you is the best I can do for you, guys!

Some accidents taken place lately in several part of the world come across to my mind to bring up one big question " is this A Sign Of The End Of The Day? Absolutely I have no idea. All I can do as a Christian is to keep faithful to God and be ready for His coming any time. Let's have a break for self-reflection and examination that might help us to stay in faith.

1. Have I Accomplished Good?
2. Have I Avoided Evil?
3. Have I Sinned Against Someone, or Has Someone Sinned Against Me?
4. Have I Repented?
5. Have I Left Something Undone?
6. Have I Made Good Resolutions?
7. Have I Encouraged Somebody?
8. Have I Overcome Worldliness?
9. Have I Expressed Gratitude to God?
10. Have I Thought About God and His Word?

(10 questions of self-reflection taken from internet)

Updated on Sept 03 ...

I heard from tv news last night an interesting interview of one victim who says "it's time people living back in faith" just like my opinion I wrote yesterday. This interview as I know so far sounds totally different among any other victims who most of them talk temperamental, rude, and mean.
